EmptinessI had forgotten the deep feeling of emptiness that fills me whenever I finish a series. I think I first felt it when I finished the Harry Potter series this summer. That sense of loss, something that causes depression to overwhelm the body. I haven’t actually finished anything since then (though I’ve felt a disturbing sense of foreboding about Avatar), but I was reminded of it when I finished the third book of the Twilight series, Eclipse. Writing Slump

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 17, 2008, 8:15 AM
Totally and completely. We went out of town to Minnesota last Wednesday, and I've written a total of six pages since then, which is just TERRIBLE. I feel like I have no motivation whatsoever, and I didn't even write yesterday. It makes me feel miserable just LOOKING at the number of pages I've written, and even reading what I already have to TRY to get motivated. . . even flipping through all of my notes! And I have a layout for the next part of the chapter that I'm on and everything, and the words won't come to me!
GAH!!!
